We caught the mysterious and elusive Congressman Bulbasaur on his way into his office at the Victory Road capitol building.
"Bulba saur bulba...saur..." he said, tilting his head to the left dramatically. Per Bulbasaur, he came to Indigo Plateau to improve quality of life for all Kanto Pokémon.
"I joined politics to make a difference, not to start petty feuds or accept money from special interest groups..." he sighed, casting his withering gaze at Vice President Oak, who was walking by in the company of a lobbyist from Team Rocket.
When asked about President Charizard's demands to build a volcano or shut down the government, Congressman Bulbasaur shook his head sadly.
"Building a volcano? That's a vanity project. Why is the president holding all Kanto Pokémon hostage to this demand? I'm disappointed. He needs to stop making ridiculous demands. He wants to leech taxpayer dollars." Congressman Bulbasaur grunted, opening his office door with one vine and waving away further questions with another.
"I'm a fiscal conservative" he whispered to no one in particular, waddling into his office and shutting the door.
