Congress Blocks President Charizard's Volcano Project

Updated: Feb 27, 2022

This morning, Congress met to review President Charizard's proposal for building a Pokémon-made volcano. They quickly came to the conclusion that this is not a viable project. Leader of the opposition, Congressman Blastoise said "Funding this would be irresponsible. Fiscally irresponsible, environmentally irresponsible, and morally irresponsible. There simply is no good reason to approve it."

Congresswoman Ponyta dissented, neighing "Pony ta ta ta pony! This would increase the value of Indigo Plateau significantly. We should at least investigate the feasibility of this project before blocking it."

When asked for his opinion, Congressman Eevee squeaked, "Why are you asking me? The other congressfolk would have much more interesting things to say. I agree with Congressman Blastoise. This is a bad idea."

Sources close to Congressman Eevee, pictured above, state that he is still adjusting to his new leadership role.

When Congress presented their decision, President Charizard was visibly upset. He pounded his fists and snarled "I'm the president. If I ask for a volcano, you'll build me a volcano."

Congresswoman Jolteon replied, "Mr. President, have you taken a civics course?"

President Charizard smoldered, "If you don't approve it, I'll shut down the government!" He then stomped away to the Rocky Range for an impromptu solo game of Throw Rocks.
